GO POKES!

I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile. It was fall break this past weekend and I got to go to Oklahoma to see my sister Elizabeth and her husband, Cole. It was such a nice break to spend time with family! We cheered the Cowboys onto victory against Kansas State! I love the weather there- going to a football game really made it feel like fall!

The new school is coming along- Ruby, Katey, and I painted last week and the tile is going to be put in this week. It's really coming together and it was great to have Mark Weller and the Northstar group here to see the progress!

We are looking forward to a wonderful group from Drexel, North Carolina this week- I'm practicing my best southern accent for Kelly's kinfolk.

More soon...Thank you so much for all your love and prayers!

Welcome Northstar!

I am excited that Mark Weller and a few men from Northstar Vineyard in Cincinnati are coming today! Northstar is the church that donated the money to build our new school! I can't believe how quickly everything is coming together! The second picture is from inside my new classroom!

Paslm 103

Praise the Lord, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise His holy name.
Praise the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all His benefits--
Who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is rewarded like the eagle's.
The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
He made known His ways to Moses,
His deeds to the people of Israel:
The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in Love.
He will not always accuse,
nor will He harbor His anger forever;
He does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is His love for those who fear Him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him;
for He knows how we are formed,
He remembers that we are dust.
As for man, his days are like grass,
he flourishes like a flower of the field;
the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
But frome everlasting to everlasting
the Lord's love is with those who fear Him,
and His righteousness with their children's children--
with all those who keep His covenant
and remember to obey His precepts.
The Lord has established His throne in heaven,
and His kingdom rules over all.
Praise the Lord, you His angels,
you mighty ones who do His bidding,
who obey His word.
Praise the Lord, all His heavenly hosts,
you His servants who do His will.
Praise the Lord, all His works
everywhere in His dominion.

Praise the Lord, O my sou.

A HUGE Thanks to Calvary Chemical

I just wanted to take a minute and thank my cousin Tyler, Uncle John, and his company for their generosity this past week! Ruby and I were able to take a trip to Office Depot and pick out whatever we needed for the school! We feel so blessed and humbled by your gift. Thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord and to Back2Back!

Dia de (Insert Saint)

Lots of fun things happened today:

My cousin Tyler arrived- he'll be here until Sunday! (Aunt Lisa, I saw him actually working! :)

Ruby and I went to the chiropractor for her neck.
We also got pulled over for no reason and pretended not to speak Spanish...

We had a cookout at Douglas where I had to convince every single child that I was not, in fact, Elisa OR Mary

On the way home, we encountered this in our neighborhood--

AND Julie and Matt came home with baby Caleb and I got to hold him! He is so perfect and he looks just like his daddy!

Girls Weekend!

I am so blessed to have Ruby and Katey here! I've been praying for more single people to come on staff since before I moved here in 2005...these two sweet friends were worth the wait!

It's Baby Season! (3 down, 1 to go!)

I'm happy to announce that Camila Porto Iannuzzi was born this morning, October 1, at 12:15 am.

Update: 10.02.07 Rosa and Camila are home, healthy, and safe! I just got to hold her and change her diaper! :)
